Dawn

Darkness, darkness, pitch black darkness.
Nervous, wondering , thinking, heart beating
Standing, still, no movement, no breath
Avoiding exposure…why and to what?
Fear, fear of the unknown, fear of the unseen?

Faint soft glow of colors and hues,
Suddenly against the horizon of the pitch black sky.
Colors, light, barely there … a brief moment in time.
Then gone, never the same again.

First light of day, born to bath, all equally.
Comfort, safety…the continuance of life.
More time from God, his will.
His work, his way,
His plan for another day.
